FAQs About Towing

If you’re lucky, you won’t need to have your vehicle towed often or at all, but most people will need to hire a towing company at some point or another. If you’ve found yourself in a situation that requires you to get your car towed, our team will be there for you in a hurry. We also want to answer some frequently asked questions about towing so that you have the information you need.

Are keys necessary for car towing?

At our towing company, we require our customers to have their keys when we provide towing services. This allows us to open and close the doors to turn on the ignition and headlights when needed, so please make sure you have your keys on hand when you call us.

Is towing covered by insurance?

It depends on your specific insurance policy. Most car insurance policies won’t cover the cost of towing when there has been a mechanical issue, but they may reimburse you for towing if you’ve been in a collision. If you have a roadside assistance add-on to your policy, this usually covers towing up to a certain distance.

Why should I choose your towing company?

Incredible service! My car broke down on Tryon during 5pm traffic right next to some construction. Anthony was kind and measured the whole time, took great care of me and my car, and was able to navigate the obstacles between where I broke down and where he parked with no issue. It was wonderful to have someone so kind and assured while dealing with something like a car breakdown.

AC Towing was a life savior. At 7am my car broke down in busy Charlotte, and he came in no time to give me a tow. I appreciate your services!

Brittany Jackson-Nji

Anthony was a lifesaver today! I had been on the side of the road for over THREE HOURS waiting for AAA. I even had to call relatives to pick up my kids and grandbaby while I continued waiting. After reaching out to another driver who contacted several others, I still couldn’t find anyone willing to come out on a Sunday unless it was “big money.”
I finally searched Google, and Anthony was the first person I called. He quoted me a fair price and was literally there in less than FIVE MINUTES! He was kind, listened to me ramble after such a stressful afternoon, jumped my battery, gave me a ride, and got my car dropped off. He even recommended a good mechanic!
Anthony, thank you for showing up and treating me with kindness when I needed it most. I’ll definitely use your services again and highly recommend you!
